Pass issued on 12/6/40 to Erich Dehnhardt, he was in the RAD from 8/40 to 1/41, called up and after training he was posted to 2/Infantry Regiment (Mot) in the motorcycle Battalion, he served in Russia, operations in Minsk, Smolensk and Bryansk, in June 1942 his Regiment was assigned to the 6th Army for the advance to Stalingrad, in September 1942 his unit was engaged in action at the massive concrete grain elevator in Stalingrad, he was badly wounded loosing a leg and received the gold wound badge 5/3/43, he also received the Russian Front medal 16/2/43 and the Iron cross 2nd class 3/5/43, he was transferred to Gren Ers Btl 71 and discharged 4/6/43, surprisingly he was re-mustered 2/44 to serve in Ersatzreserve 2 with only one leg. the pass comes with 12 photos of him in uniform and Hospital, also his discharge certificate, worth further research.
